who am I?

I’m a wanderer. A writer. A lover of beauty. A seeker of joy and truth. A reader. An amateur chef. Redeemed.

I get feisty about social justice.

I pay attention to metaphors, because they shape the way we see reality.

Berry College handed me a really fancy sheet of paper not too long ago telling me and the world that I know a little about Linguistics and I’m ready to be an actual adult now. Despite much evidence to the contrary, they have yet to revoke that stand. I’m working on figuring out what it means to be an academic who isn’t a student anymore (for now).

This place is where I put ideas, realizations, and things I find beautiful. If you’re new here, I recommend starting with these:

Princess Theology; or Why I Deleted My Pinterest Wedding Board

Of time and waking up early

Consumerism and the Church

Pop and Cultural Plagiarism

I want my life to be messy

Of modern worship and comfort zones

There’s no rhyme or reason to me choosing those particular ones; they just happen to be my favorites. I recommend enjoying them with a mug of hot chocolate and a warm fuzzy blanket, but that’s up to you. Stick around a while, and feel free to leave a comment – I’d love to get to know you!
